English Translation of

Georg W. Schmidt's Seed Regeneration

Sincere thanks go to Reinhard Rosch, a long-time gardener and anthroposophist living near Ottawa, for his excellent work in translating the 44-page document summarizing over 20 years of research on seed regeneration by Georg W. Schmidt.

Georg Schmidt's extensive work on this subject builds upon the research carried out by his father, Martin Schmidt. Georg Schmidt focused on cereal crop seed production, in particular, wheat and rye. Three other authors helped compile the original document.

What is unique about this summary report is the understanding of how etheric forces (Life, Chemical, Light and Warmth ethers), together with their corresponding elements (Earth, Water, Air and Fire) are connected with the constellations through which the planets travel and affect key plant characteristics. Schmidt focused on four major plant characteristics and correlated them with particular planetary and lunar positioning.

Schmidt's work emphasizes that the critical moment occurs when the seed comes in direct contact with the soil. The planetary alignment at this new growth moment directly impacts the key plant characteristics. After reading this document, farmers and gardeners will be more conscious of choosing particular times for sowing seed such that these elemental and formative forces have optimum impact on productivity outcomes.

Schmidt also gives detailed instructions on how to loosen the genetic fabric of a plant species such that it can more readily adapt to changes in such as location and climate. He was able to demonstrate that after this loosening process is completed, the plant's genetic material will remain consistent in its new environment.
